For those of you that know me, you know I'm big on vision. I love everything about vision. I love writing vision, helping others tap into a vision and really believe that vision is a very important key to living a fulfilling life.
Here's a couple of my favorite scriptures on vision:
Habakkuk 2:2-3, "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it because it will surely come, it will not tarry."
Proverbs 29:18, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." (I heard one preacher say this version of it, "Where there is no prophetic vision or insight, the people perish." I like that.)
You know we have to have a vision for our lives, but can't vision be so frustrating at times? Why is that? Well number one, it's because God's vision for our lives is a revelation. It cannot be logically or mentally figured out, it's a mystery that has to be revealed to us by God. I don't know about you, but I'm the kind of person that wants the answer and wants it now. But the thing about vision is that it's like putting together a puzzle or even sometimes like a Rubik's cube. You have to get the pieces in the right place before anything starts to look right. Sometimes with vision, we have the pieces all out of order. Or sometimes we are missing important pieces that we need in order to see the big picture. Regardless there's only one thing to do. Focus on the vision and pray, pray, pray for wisdom.
So I ask you, what's the vision for your life? When is the last time you looked at it? Maybe it's time to get it back out, pray over it and see if the Lord reveals something new or shows you a new step. One thing I do know, time spent meditating on the vision God has for our lives is never wasted time.
Blessings, until next time...
