Thanksgiving!!!

Thanksgiving

Ahhh, how I love the holidays.  One of my favorite times of year is Thanksgiving through Christmas.  There's so much to be thankful for, reflect on, and look forward to in the coming year.  It's funny, so many people that I talk to are in this totally negative frame of mind right now - focused on the economy, etc.  But as for me, I feel so excited about living in this time.  I see God's hand all around me and His blessings just keep overtaking us.  Besides, the word of God says rejoice in the Lord always.  Not sometimes, but always.  Being thankful and rejoicing is a mind set.  It's a choice.  It's something we choose to do by focusing on as Philemon 1:6 says, "all of the good things that are in us in Christ Jesus."  And guess what, as believers we have an enormous amount to rejoice about and celebrate, not only at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but all year long.

P.S.  What do you think about my Turkey????

Board meetings, 501c3's and life in ministry...

Things must have been a lot easier for Jesus.  No board meetings, no 501(c)3 forms to file, and no long tax forms to fill out at the end of the year.  But then again, we have airplanes, cars, Nike tennis shoes, televisions, cell phones, and microphones.  Ok, so maybe we have it better after all...

Well, I guess I'm just reflecting on how much work it is to actually get a new ministry off of the ground.  This isn't my first time to start something new, but each time I do it, I am amazed at all that is involved.  Starting a ministry or business is work!

But thank God for Jesus and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It's amazing how much you can accomplish under the anointing versus in the flesh.  It's night and day!

Take last week for example.  I think I made more progress than I did the whole prior month.  And the reason for it was actually because of the opposition we were facing.  But rather than the opposition causing us to lose ground.  Because of the anointing, it actually propelled us forward.

That's the way it is in the Kingdom, or at least its the way its supposed to be.  The tougher it gets, the stronger we become.  The word of God says it something like this "..my grace is made perfect in weakness..."

Anyway, I'm kind of rambling on here, but I guess I just wanted to encourage everyone to keep pressing into the dreams and visions God has given them.  Don't let anything stop you.  If it looks bad, well then that just means you're in the perfect position to receive more grace.  And more grace equals more A-N-O-I-N-T-I-N-G!  And more A-N-O-I-N-T-I-N-G means more yoke-destroying, burden removing power!  So bring it on devil, you're no match for the anointing! (Especially when I'm wearing my Nike tennis shoes)!

MIRACLE SCHOOL IS COMING...

Check out the new flyer for Miracle School which starts in January.  I'm so excited that this is about to launch.  The vision to train people to operate in the supernatural power of God has been in my heart for years.  Ever since I watched my first Charles & Francis Hunter video.  I can remember sitting there watching it with my mouth hanging open thinking is it really this easy?  Why haven't I heard this before?  Why didn't I know this when my mom was sick?  Why doesn't everyone know this?  Why are there so many churches and Christians that have never heard of this?  Really, I was totally freaked out...

Anyway, there's so much on the horizon for the ministry.  2009 is truly going to be a year of miracles!

the 2009 Prayer & Planning Workshop!

For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. - Ephesians 2:10 (AMP)

I love this verse!  Just think, God loves us so much that He planned a good life for us before the foundation of the world.  And He was so detailed about it that he actually prepared the paths that we were to take!  Awesome, isn't it?

But guess what...  God's plan for our lives doesn't happen automatically.  We have to receive God's plan by revelation and then be consistent in prayer so that it actually happens.  So, with 2009 just around the corner, I felt lead to put together a workshop to help us focus on God's plans for our lives next year.

Here's the flyer...

'09 Prayer & Planning Worshop

During the workshop, for five consecutive Mondays we'll get together for a teaching and also fast, pray and seek the Lord for His plans for 2009.   So if you live in the area, make an investment now for a successful next year.

Hope to see you there!

pure country!

Well, we moved into our new house last week!  It's located in Divide, Colorado, which is at 9,453 feet and right by Pike's Peak.  Basically, if you drive forty-five minutes from Colorado Springs up the mountain pass (and yes it's up the whole way), you'll arrive in a small little town named Divide. It only has two red lights and most of the roads that lead to houses are dirt.  Yes, I said it, dirt.  Check it out...

Well, all I can tell you about that is that apparently Colorado dirt is not like regular dirt.  It's red and hard and really doesn't get muddy.  So, they just grade the roads on occasion and you're good to go.  We'll see I guess...  especially this winter...

Here's the view off our front deck.

As you can see we're really in the country now!  Who would have thought a city girl like me would be living out here in the middle of nowhere????  Seriously, our neighbors are so far away!!! But the neighborhood is awesome.  It has stocked fishing lakes and even a playground for the kids.  There are deer and foxes and elk everywhere!!!  Here's some more pics of the neighborhood...

And some more of the wildlife...

CIMG1121 wildlife Oh well, I know that the Lord must have a very specific plan putting me all the way out here.  Maybe he wants me to slow down a little, you think???  One thing I can say for sure is that the peace out here is addicting.  It's so quiet.  When you sit in the hot tub in the back, you can see a million stars at night.

I think we're really going to like it.  But hey, after moving eight times in eight years and not owning a home since I went into full-time ministry, we just keep saying over and over, "boy it sure is good to be home!"
